Site Maintenance Cost
Making moocat.net Self-Sustaining
The goal for financing moocat.net is to make it self-sustaining based on donations. Currently, it costs about $300 per issue to maintain this site, or $100/month. Tip jars would only yield that much on a site with much higher traffic than I am currently expecting. Therefore, I’ve created a “Moocat Sustainer” level that could support most of that cost if we’re able to get a handful of monthly subscribers. What Happens If...
If we unexpectedly receive way more donations than ever expected? That would go into expansion expenses, like:
- Paying human artists for site art
- Incorporating the site into its own LLC
- Who knows? Stuff I haven’t even thought of yet!
